These terms apply to every seller (“you”) who lists products on Bidhaa Hub (“we”, “us”). By registering as a seller you agree to them.
1. Registration and verification
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a legal contract in Kenya.
- You must provide true details: full name, phone number, national ID or business registration, KRA PIN and payout details.
- We review every seller. We may approve, refuse or suspend a shop at our discretion, for example if details cannot be verified.
2. What you may sell
- Only genuine goods that you own or are authorised to sell, in the categories offered on Bidhaa Hub.
- Not allowed: counterfeit or replica goods, stolen goods, weapons, drugs, alcohol or tobacco, prescription medicines, expired products, recalled items, and anything illegal in Kenya.
- Used goods must be sold as Ex-UK (or used) and graded honestly.
3. Listing rules
- Every listing must state its Condition (New or Ex-UK). Ex-UK listings must also state a Grade: A (like new), B (light wear) or C (visible wear, fully working).
- State whether the item was tested and any warranty you offer. You must honour the warranty you list.
- Use your own clear photos that show the actual item, including any marks or wear on Ex-UK items.
- Prices are in Kenyan shillings and must include VAT where it applies.
- We may edit, hide or remove listings that break these rules.
4. Orders and delivery
- Confirm or cancel each order within 24 hours.
- Dispatch confirmed orders within 2 working days, packed safely.
- Keep enough stock. Repeated cancellations due to missing stock may lead to suspension.
5. Fees and payouts
- Bidhaa Hub charges a commission of 3% of the item price on each completed sale. We will give at least 14 days’ notice of any change.
- Your earnings (sale price minus commission) become available after the order is delivered and the 3-day return window has passed.
- You can request a withdrawal from your seller dashboard. Payouts are made by M-Pesa or bank transfer within 3 working days. Minimum withdrawal: KSh 500.
- You are responsible for your own taxes, including income tax and VAT.
6. Returns and refunds
You must accept returns under our Returns & Refunds policy. If an item is faulty or not as described, you pay return delivery and the refund amount is deducted from your balance.
7. Customer data
You receive customers’ names, phone numbers and addresses only to fulfil their orders. You must not use them for marketing, share them, or keep them longer than needed. You must follow Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.
8. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close a shop for fake or misdescribed products, poor service, fraud, or breaking these terms. Money owed to customers may be held until refunds are settled. You may close your shop at any time once open orders are completed.
9. Liability
You are responsible for the products you sell and for the accuracy of your listings. Bidhaa Hub provides the marketplace and is not the seller of your products.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will notify sellers of important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
